New Video: “People of Walmart”

I couldn’t resist. These people were basically asking me to write a song about them! What started out as a late night songwriting session, turned into a full production idea. I hope you enjoy my video as much as we enjoyed making it! Check back next week for our “Walmart Blooper” episode!

Check out more hysterical photos from the People of Walmart!

I am glad you could find words to describe these images…I sure couldn’t! Only in America…with the help of the Chinese…

Haha, great rhythm. So contagious. I believe that when normal people walk into Walmart they transform into freaks. It’s the only way to explain how the store is filled with people like that. I can only image what I look like while inside Walmart :/

Love the song, love the voice. Have all the people in the video approved of their appearance? If so fine, if not be aware of who we are making “fun” of. No one likes to be made the butt of a joke.

What’s even more scary is… you actually maintain your sex appeal in a mullet, coon skin cap and aviator sunglasses!

Great video. Congrats. This thing could go MASSIVELY viral if it were 3 minutes shorter. Its a great idea, well executed, super clever and all but it is too long by half. Edit it, tweet it and watch it get hundreds of thousands of hits.

I agree, too long. Edit it and it’ll soar. Didn’t post it to Facebook because of that (and the poop shots). Otherwise, hilarious. Beautiful voice.

I would have loved the video if it weren’t for the racist “jungle bunny” line. That’s actually not funny and highly offensive. You should probably change that line if you want a career in entertainment. My opinion.

Sam, the complete term that was said is “jungle bunny ride”. It’s another term for a wedgie. Please refer to picture lol. By the way the guy is caucasian and really needs to put some cloths on.

Really enjoyed the video. Reminded me and my wife of Tracy Ullman with her characters. Oh, and my wife works at Wal-Mart in the pharmacy. She can relate!!

Wow! I’ve seen the disturbing emails in the past, but you put a whole new spin on them. I had to watch the video several times to catch it all. Very clever and witty lyrics, plus the song, music, and singing was excellent. You’re obviously very talented and certainly very cute. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely Brilliant! I read on Fox News about a video that went viral and checked it out. I almost pissed my pants laughing at the photos and then realized the music was kick ass. The music and lyrics is why I can’t stop listening to this. Great rock blues feel. You got the slightly raspy yet refined voice – love the blue notes in “only at walmart”. Not to mention you’re smokin hot!

Congratulations to you. I think you’re going far!

We were visiting dear friends in White House (we are from Marion, NC) and I had to make a run to the Wal-Mart. Saw you guys shooting this video and told my wife when I got back to our friends house, “I just saw one of those people of Wal-Mart”. Low and behold I get a video from a friend of mine on Facebook with this video clip. I couldn’t have been more surprised. YES, dear, there is a Santa Clause!! Keep up the good work. Love the song too.

A highly entertaining piece of work that through clever verse supplies some excellent humor. Makes me think Walmart needs to have a new PR slogan, perhaps something like “Walmart, where it’s Halloween ( in the mental ward ) every day”. Great work and talent, I hope you are very successful.

OMG, this made me laugh until I cried. I’ve seen some of these people…more’s the pity.

I’m definitely in agreement with Steve. Those three were deeply disturbing.

I MUST put this up on my blog. I’ve been neglecting that poor page and it needs some life injected into it.

Good luck with your career. I’ll be following you now that I know about you. (Wish you’d written — and I’d known about — this song before I penned my song-themed freebie back in February…ROFL)

Three images disturbed me greatly: (A) The man with the soiled pants – Did he have a case of the runs but was too lazy to leave the store? (B) the 300 pound woman in an electric cart who was breast feeding while she shopped, and (C) the man(?) in shorts with a catheter bag, full of urine, strapped to his leg.

Terry May 24, 2011 at 11:30 am

Wow, you only came up with three disturbing ones?? Really??? In that video alone there was at least 100 that are beyond disturbing. Love the video. I have watched it about twenty times so far.

So, where does a guy go to get spandex, a coon skin cap, high heels, a kilt and an opera cape? Just askin.
